About the Technology Services Department
The Technology Service Department provides all technology services and support to 14 campuses as well as auxiliary facilities in our district. The department works hand-in-hand with other departments, ensuring all students have an enhanced educational experience while in the classroom.
In our district, BISD implements a rigorous process for selecting and approving educational apps. This is to ensure students have an access to high-quality, safe, age appropriate learning tools that will help support a students academic growth. The Technology Services Department works hand in hand with The Teaching and Learning Department to review all instructional resources.
BISD prioritizes student privacy and data security to protect personally identifiable information (PII) and intellectual property. The district recognizes the importance of safeguarding students from identity theft, harassment, and unauthorized data collection. Our district strictly enforces privacy and data policies to mitigate these risks, ensuring ethical and legal data protection for students and staff.
As a technologically progressive district, BISD partners with K-12 systems to provide resources on Digital Citizenship. This commitment to student privacy aims to ensure students' and staff's success, security, and well-being, fostering a safe learning environment for the entire BISD community.
